Amaze, has appointed Alex Comyn as Chief Strategy Officer. Alex will drive Amaze’s strategy offering, fostering and furthering its strong strategic culture throughout all areas of the business. A key part of this will see Alex align Amaze’s Data Intelligence and Experience Design disciplines within a wholly aligned strategic proposition. He will report directly to Tony Murphy, CEO.
Alex’s impressive career has seen him spend two decades at the forefront of the digital industry. He was part of the team that launched the first digital strategy for National Express and worked on some of the first digital projects for what was then the fledgling online banking industry. He joined Amaze seven years ago, where until his new appointment he was Strategy Director. At Amaze, he has led the digital direction of flagship brands such as Toyota, Hiscox, Unilever and Lexus.
Alex will now apply his expertise developing more direct relationships between clients and strategists, encouraging rapid and agile processes by embracing new methodologies, growing the team in response to increased customer demand and constantly striving to improve the quality of thinking across the business.
Alex Comyn, Chief Strategy Officer, Amaze, comments: “One of the things that attracted me to Amaze when I joined seven years ago was its fascination with the interplay of people and technology and its key vision “to inspire original thinking through a deeper understanding of technology and human behaviour”. This is as true now as it was then and I am excited to continue to build on these key principles in my new role. The market is always in a state of flux, with disruptive, nimble competitors harnessing innovative new business models and nipping at the heels of established organisations. The majority of businesses know they need to transform their digital operations, and evolve their business models in order to stay competitive, but need help in doing so. Our strategy offering is absolutely central to empowering our clients to overcome the challenges they face and stand out from the crowd. I look forward to working with colleagues and clients alike to deliver transformative business strategies.”
Tony Murphy, CEO at Amaze, comments: “Our strategic offering is central to Amaze, and with his significant experience and expertise, as well as his strengths as a leader, we are delighted that Alex will be heading up our strategy services. Amaze has spirit and vision – to develop talent, work on an international scale, and deliver ambitious digital solutions for some of the largest brands in the world. Alex’s appointment is central to this and I look forward to working with him to grow the business.”
