“A huge project, very well delivered. Amazing work.” So say the judges at this year’s International Business Awards.
When Amaze partnered with Unilever on reworking its global network of 47 sites, our challenge was to ensure 23+ million visitors could access information in 28 different languages, and feel informed and valued in each of them. Now, the results have not only increased visitor numbers and transformed mobile access globally; they’ve also earned a gold-winning performance at this year’s International Business Awards.
The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small - are eligible to submit nominations. The 2017 IBAs received entries from more than 60 nations and territories.
A record total of more than 3,900 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Amaze and Unilever won in the Conglomerates category.
Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 executives worldwide who participated on 12 juries.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the W Hotel in Barcelona, Spain on 21 October.
Reviewing Amaze’s and Unilever's joint entry, judges described it as a “strong redesign on site which employs very modern design principles.” They said the re-envisioned site was “easy to navigate and… very clean, not overwhelming to a first-time visitor. Simple to use website. Great features and very engaging.”
The judges also praised the “thoughtful strategy” and “great design work” which made the site “information-dense yet visitor-friendly”. It was, the judges concluded, “a huge project, very well delivered. Amazing work.”
Jen Smith, Business Director at Amaze said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to receive this International Business Award. We’re grateful for the judges’ warm comments and we are extremely proud to have brought to life some 900+ pages of content in a new and exciting way – and made them easily accessible to Unilever’s global audience.”
