We were delighted to win the PR Moments Stunt of the Year award (9th March 2016) for the fantastic work we have done with The Saucy Fish Co.’s School of Fish restaurant takeover campaign. The campaign won for its overall concept and ability to deliver a complex message in a simple yet effective way. In total the Awards had 880 entries so a great achievement for the team.
For one day only, we treated the people of Soho to a Saucy surprise. Visitors of Stephen St. Kitchen were amazed to see a shoal of ‘mini’ Saucy chefs aged 6 to 8 preparing, cooking and serving our exclusive Saucy fish menu during a busy lunch hour.
According to recent research, the average UK Adult consumes less than half the recommended amount of fish per week. With this in mind, we made it our aim to inspire people of all ages to eat more fish, more often – after all, cooking fish is child’s play!
Our amazing mini chefs served over 150 covers to bemused diners delighting in a free lunch. The most popular meal on the day, with 56 covers, was The Saucy Fish Co.’s latest product, Squid, King Prawn & Chorizo fused with a Sherry & Herb Sauce.
Samantha Jones, Head of PR, Amaze has this to say about the win “We’re delighted to win Stunt of Year for The Saucy Fish Co.’s School of Fish restaurant takeover. All stunts rely on an element of risk, and it was definitely a brave concept to trust six year olds to cook and serve all meals to media and influencers, but thankfully everything ran like clockwork on the day. In our image-obsessed selfie and Instagram world, creative stunts are definitely taking centre stage again, but there’s a fine line between a great success and an embarrassing flop. Receiving such flattering feedback from the judges is a great endorsement.”
