The project will see Amaze PR working in partnership with the University’s in-house communications team to create some ‘wow’ factor and highlight the opening of their new digital learning, teaching and research space at MediacityUK next year (2011).

The new building – set to open in autumn 2011 will be home to more than 1,500 students and will lie at the heart of MediacityUK. Courses set to be offered include Audio Technology, Animation, Journalism and Broadcasting, Media Technology, Mobile and Internet TV and TV and Radio, while postgraduates will be able to study Creative Games, Fiction Film Production, Screen Writing and Computer Science – to name but a few courses.

The first element of the project will see Amaze PR highlighting the key-handover to the University which is set to take place next month.

Sandra McDowell, Managing Partner, Amaze PR, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be working with the University of Salford. It’s a great brief to assist the University making the most of its position at the heart of MediacityUK.

Facilities set to be on offer at the University’s new building include HD TV studios, radio broadcast studios, digital media and performance labs, post-production suites and a living lab research facility.
